INFORMATION EXCHANGE Perhaps the most important key to successful leadership is being informed. As a member of The Chairmen's Group, you will be invited to attend the highly rated Annual Chairmen's Roundtable Forum (formerly called the Idea Exchange). Each year, credit union chairmen meet to participate in roundtable discussions on a number of issues and trends affecting credit unions and their leaders. Participants also use the time to exchange information on successful programs and problem-solving techniques.
In addition, members will receive a copy of the executive summary of the biennial CEO Salary Survey. This is a valuable tool in helping you attract and keep top quality CEOs within the highly competitive financial services arena.
COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK Throughout the year, Chairmen's Group members stay informed through timely and topical articles published in the quarterly newsletter, Exchange.
Members are able to keep in touch via an online membership directory. Chairmen with special expertise in a number of key areas can be contacted through the valuable Chairmen's Consulting Network. These individuals have agreed to be part of this network where other members are encouraged to call on them for advice, information and assistance. The Online Forum is a new feature of the website that allows chairmen to post their comments and questions, ultimately allowing them to carry on a dialogue, much like the exchange that takes place during the discussions at the Annual Roundtable Forum. The search function allows chairmen to look up discussions on a particular topic.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING Whether you are a newly elected chairman or have been serving for a number of years, you will have the opportunity to hone your leadership skills at the annual Leadership Development Seminar. Seminar topics include strategic planning, effective team building, financial analysis, managing conflict, motivating others, and more. The seminar is held each June at a resort location for an interactive, informal learning atmosphere. RECOGNITION A Chairmen's Group member who has demonstrated their commitment to country, credit union and this association is selected to receive the esteemed Eugene Ball Award. The award, named in honor of a past NACUC Chairman, is presented at the Annual Chairmen's Roundtable Forum. |
